HAPPY THANKSGIVING MY DEAR FRIENDS!!!!!!
Did you gobble until you wobbled today? If you gobbled too much here is an dance video so you can learn "The Wobble" and dance off some extra calories from all that feasting, that's if you can get off the couch to do it!
I got my early morning burn in to prevent too much wobbling later. I met my friends Shyla, Brent, and Alicia at Orange Theory for a 6:15am class.
This was my first time checking this place out. It was a 60-minute class workout which consisted of cardio and strength training. The cardio was done on the treadmills and water rowing machines and there was a separate area for weights. Everyone wears a heart rate monitor so you can track all the details of your session and your "Zones" are displayed for everyone to see on a large tv. There are 5 "Zones"; grey, blue, green, orange and red, your goal during class is to try and get your heart rate into the orange zone and red zone combined for at least 12 minutes. All four of us KILLED that number!
I did 25:51 in orange zone and 8:00 in the red zone with a total of 601 calories burned. Not bad hey! I would definatly go back, it kicked my booty. Here is the link to find a location in your area:
This afternoon we headed to my family's house for Thanksgiving lunch.
Ella loves pickles, a girl after my own heart.
Then it was dessert time!!! My favorite meal of the day!
After our food settled some a few of us decided to play "Just dance" so we didn't go into a food coma lying around. Way to burn a few more calories for the day and a whole lot of laughing!
This guy has been staring at me when I'm at my desk.
And for tomorrow...
Heidi Powell, trainer on ABC's Extreame Weight Loss and wife to Chris Powell(I adore them both!) put together this workout to help you burn off those Thanksgiving day feast calories and it is crazy hard!
Heidi wrote on her blog:
Just to put it into perspective, here is a workout Chris and I recently put together for a friend of ours who was looking to burn just 3,750 calories:
6 mile run
50 box jumps (24″ box)
50 jumping pull ups
50 kettle ball swings (50 lbs)
50 walking lunges
50 knees to elbow, hanging from bar
50 push press (45 lbs)
50 back extensions
75 wall ball (10 lbs ball)
50 burpees, with jump and clap above head
50 double unders
5 mile run
1400 meter swim (.86 miles)When you are done with this, you would still need to burn another 750 calories, or more, to equal the number of calories consumed. You could add an extra hour of slow jogging. Mind blowing, isn’t it?!
I think I should eat something like this tomorrow to make up for my feasting...
We love Olaf in our house!
Happy Thanksgiving from The Molitor's!!!!
