Ok so lets try this AGAIN! Last night I had a whole page written only to hit a button and delete the whole thing. Talk about frusterating! I went to bed right away. So here is my redo. Probably won't be as details as its late already and I want to get this posted tonight because I have a bunch of new things to tell you about this week.
Last week started Country Music Marathon Training week 1!
Sunday: 9 mile long run with some of my running group gals. This was my longest run back since my injury after St. Jude Memphis Marathon, Posterior Tiblialis Tendonitus. The red line shows where the tendon runs and the red arrow shows the point where I felt the most pain. And it was PAINFUL let me tell you that! Worst pain then I felt when I tore the tendon in my other ankle last year. I guess when you feel pain in your foot walking to the start line of a marathon and still run all out what you get as an after present.
And PIYO HardCore On The Floor.
Made me some vegan "cheese" sauce.
Monday: PIYO core and buns.
Tuesday: Kids first day back to school since winter break so I finally got a run in outside during the week.
After my run PIYO Sculpt
Notice my dogs head in the background sleeping, that's all he does lazy thing!
Finsihed the night with planks with my plank buddies! Accountabilty because I don't have it on my own before bed thats for sure. 3X60 sec.
Breakfast was so good and gave me a ton of energy at the gym today!
A lot of nutrition packed in a tiny bowl! Chocolate-banana steel cut oats!
It "snowed" oh the tinyest bit Wendsday morning.
Klondike was loving it!
1 hour BOSU class.
By the end of class I had done a total of 100 on toes push-ups, lunges down the hallways numerous times, crunches, 100 sit-ups, along with running sets up and down stairs and 3 mins of planks, oh a few others things thrown in there. Yeah that class is no joke but I love it! I used to take BOSU abs 2 times a week and I was so much stronger in the abs and arms then.
Whats this? A video game controller???
No its a body fat calculator.
After class my instructor let whoever wanted to try out this Body Fat Calculator. So my body fat is 19.7% and my BMI is 20.6
What does that mean?
Here is a chart for body fat:
So even though I feel like this body has work to do it says I'm in the athletes range. Great I can quit working out so hard because I am already fit?!?! NOT. Remember these are just numbers and you know how you feel in general and your fitness goals. Just because you don't have a lot of body fat doesn't mean your not weak. So I will keep on working here.
Then two runs on the treadmill.
Why two you say?
Because the first one I had planned and the second one I added for fun after because I loved this awesome treadmill at the gym!
First run I set to distance and pace. My goal was to keep under 8:45 pace which I ended up with 8:38 pace, even better. They didn't have the internet set up on there to share workout on facebook, but that would have been cool!
Second run I was toying with some of the buttons to figure out this treadmill for the future and I noticed there were like destination type runs on there that would lead you through a video like you were on those roads along with facts and history of the location and music.
I choose the HANA run.
The Hana run also had some incline thrown in there.
Starving when I left gym so I munched on this until I got home to make a real lunch.
Thursday: 5:30am phone call....School was canceled due to cold weather.
Breakfast first! 3 Ingredient Clean Eating pancakes.
Ok so 4 if you include coconut oil to grease pan.
So easy to make! Mash two ripe bananas in a bowl and mix in one egg and a tablespoon of PB.
I added a couple of chocolate chips to the kids.
Then cook over medium heat flipping halfway. My first batch fell apart a little. I melted some PB in the microwave and swirled that on top of mine and kids used syrup on there's. For Clean Eating 100% pure maple syrup would be ok.
PIYO Hardcore on the floor and PIYO Drench.
Tough stuff, Drench has its name for a reason!
Smoothies for everyone!!!!
Friday: Piyo Core and Hardcore on the floor.
Dinner-Chicken fajitas. Mine served over brown rice with a side of GF organic chips.
Saturday: Fleet Feet Country Music Marathon Training. Kicked off our official marathon training week with our first long run as a group.
It was a chilly one too!
A really large turnout this year for training.
Jen in the white coat is our awesome pace leader! She is a blogger at Jen Chooses Joy
I had a great run! Feels so good to be out running again! I loved training with Fleet Feet last season. I am the kind of person who needs accountability and I train harder with others around me.
My reward :)
Saturday night I went out with some friends to celebrate my friend Jennifer's birthday! We went to Bethoven's Seventh Symphony.
It was beautiful. Why oh why did I stop playing my violin?
Appetizers and drinks after.
So I managed to complete 9 days of Clean Eating before I fell off the wagon. I continued to eat junk all day and night and then I got the worst stomach ache ever for eating all the junk I had gotten out of my system all in one day. Good going Kara, learned your lesson I hope.
Stayed out late but no excuses Sunday was the start of a new week and BOOTCAMP time!
Followed by PIYO Core and Strength Intervals. Whew was I sweating!
And back to Clean Eating!
I hope you had a great week and weekend!
Do you enjoy the cold? Are you training for any big races? Whats your favorite cross-training if you are a runner?
